Antioxidants

Antioxidants help your body to clear out oxidised free radical cells encouraging health promotion and keep diseases at bay.
To find out why antioxidants are so good for you we need to look at Free Radicals.

Free radicals

Free radicals are created within the body (in small quantities) as well as from poor high fatty foods. The aim being to fight bacteria, stop and calming inflammation and generally protecting us.

Free radicals are cells that have had biological structure damage caused through oxidisation. Once the cell has been damaged, it tends to be reactive and damaging to other cells around it.

However, due to there reactive nature, in large amounts they have damaging effects on the organs, cells and tissues of our bodies which can ultimately lead to great health problems. This is what leads to the degeneration of your body and enhances chances of cancer, heart problems and cardiovascular disease.
Diets with alcohol, high fats, chemical pesticides, fried foods and generally unhealthy foods encourage free radical growth.

Antioxidants

Your body has certain defense mechanisms working already but these can become inundated if your health and and food quality intake is poor, the body becomes overloaded and succumbs to clogging which brings disease.

Antioxidants do what they say, by counteracting the oxidised cells and clinging (stopping them from being reative to other cells) to them and guiding them out of your your body.

Antioxidants help rid your body of these toxins and are needed in large volumes to keep you healthy, which is why there is a national campaign of eat five fruit and vegetables a day. Antioxidant foods not only contain the vital vitamins that neutralise free radicals but the actual food fibres help cleanse and transport them out of the body.

Combine this with daily exercise, you will greatly reduce the risk of disease and increase your blood, nervous and other health systems.

Antioxidants in the form of fresh natural organic fruit and vegetables boost your health by having higher levels of nutrients which have not been destroyed or weakened by chemical fertilisers and pesticides. these chemicals also have an effect on our bodies by weakening our immune system and so if possible it is better to choose organic.
