The Home Made Beef Burger and Sweet Potato Chips

This online video is a recipe that should stay with you forever as its an easy and nutritious meal as you can see whats going into your food. You can experiment with this recipe using many different ingredients to add in to your burgers.
Note: By cooking your burgers on wire trays, the saturated fat (the Bad Stuff) will drip away and leave you with a healthy tasty fat free Home Made Burger!!!

Ingredients (for Two People)

100 grams Lean Mince Meat
2 Large Burger Buns or Brown Baps
1 Sweet Potato
2 Handfuls of salad leaves
2 tbsp of chopped Tomatoes
2 tbsp of chopped Red Pepper
1tbsp of chopped spring onions
2 tbsp of chopped flat leaf parsley
2 tsp of chopped shallots
1 tspn of chopped garlic
2 Egg Whites
Plain Flour
Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper

Salad vinaigrette
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Lemon Juice
Salt & Pepper


To Cook

1. In a mixing bowl, mix the mince, tomatoes, peppers, shallots, garlic, egg white and spring onions.Mix with your hands and then leave in the refrigerator for half an hour to set.

2.Make two large round patties of the mixture. On a plate or board sprinkle a good amount of flour, shape the burger and cover in flour (this will fall off when cooking). Once done, cook in a pan for a few minutes each side and then put ion the oven for 15 - 20 minutes on 180° on w wire rack in order for the fat to drip out.

3. Before you make your patties, cut your sweet potato into chip/ wedge sizes and cover with olive oil and put in the oven on a tray for 30 -40 minutes at the same temperature. Turn once throughout and add oil if needed.

4. Make your vinaigrette for your salad and if needed, boil some new potatoes and then quickly chop and fry (with or without oil or you could shallow fry with water)before serving

5. Five minutes before everything is due, toast your buns in the oven and then serve together.
